Chef Doug recently settled in Warkworth after a career that started with Sir Sanford Fleming’s culinary program and took him to kitchens around the world including Mossiman’s in London, a private villa in Nice, and to Australia where he owned a restaurant in wine country. He’s cooked for the royal families of Europe and also spent several years at sea as Executive Chef with Silversea Cruises. Closer to home, Doug’s been chef at Toronto’s legendary Canoe and most recently at the Elmhirst Inn.
Doug is passionate about celebrating local food and wine and that will soon include growing it! He plans to cultivate green house gardens and raise heritage livestock at his new home in Warkworth! Welcome, Doug!
